The 23-year-old Brisbane super-middleweight represented his country at this year’s World Championships having won the Australian title, the Arafura Games, FIVE state crowns, Australasian Golden Gloves and the Queensland Elite Boxer of the Year award.

The powerful Bowen said: “I’ve chose to sign for MTK Global because my ambition is to become a world champion.

“With the proven success of MTK Global, I’m optimistic and I trust in the development of my professional career both domestically and internationally.

“I already have good working relationships with both Mike Altamura and Tom Stalker, so it feels only natural to put my faith in the work and culture offered by MTK Global.”

MTK Global International Consultant Altamura added: “I think Jack is one of the standout talents to emerge from Australia for a number of years.

“I’m really excited to be working with him. He has really fast hands and fast feet but he also has a toughness about him – he’s prepared to mix it up in the pocket if necessary.

“I have known Jack since his mid-teens and he’s always been a gentleman. He’s a good fit for our company. A special shout-out too to his trainer Gareth Williams. I think he’s one of the top trainers in the Asia-Pacific region and I look forward to working alongside him to develop the fighter.”

News of Bowen’s professional debut will be forthcoming in due course.
